The Mac Black Series uses the same high carbon Chrome Molybdenum Vanadium steel as the Chef Series. It is a stainless steel an known for better edge-retention, they are also easy to sharpen. The Black Series adds a black fluorine coating to the blades to make them more non-stick.The handles are made out of pakka wood in which the full tang blades are riveted into. The Black series offer a unique design with functionality!
