Senzo Universal Gyuto Knife with a 210mm blade.
Senzo knives are made by Suncraft in Seki, one of the traditional knife making centers in the Gifu Prefecture.
The blade has a VG-10 core layer clad in 16 layers on each side. VG-10 is one of the most popular high grade stainless steel for kitchen knives. The blades have the “Tsuchime” hammered finish which helps that food is not sticking to the blade. These 33 layer damascus knives are very popular for their practicality and design.
The handles are western style, made out of reddish brown pakka wood.
The 210mm gyuto knife is the classic size chef knife, the most popular shape in NZ.
