Yoshikane SKD Petty knife with a 150mm blade.
The Yoshikane SKD range is made with an SKD semi-stainless core sandwiched in softer stainless SUS405 steel. SKD-11 is a very hard steel, also used as a tool steel. That steel holds an incredible sharp edge. The beautiful hand hammered finish also acts as a non stick surface so it is less likely that food will stick to the blade. The handle is made out of D-shaped Magnolia wood with a buffalo horn ferrule. The nature of the natural horn and the hammer finish let each knife look slightly different.
