Yu Kurosaki is one of the rising stars of younger very talented blacksmith. His knives are popular all over the world and therefore supply is limited. He is from Echizen in Fukui, one of the centers for high quality hand forged knives.
This Fujin series knife is made out of powder metal SG2 steel. Using a special forging technique gives the blade quite a unique finish. The blade is very thin at the edge and sharpness out of the box is stunning. The octagon handle is made out of dark rosewood with a black pakka wood ferrule.
